I set out this advertisment to look like a movie poster for a fairly tale themed film. The writing in it is based around this theme, so are the colours and nature of the people and fire in this photograph, I have done this because the music can be described as childish in beat and tune but quite mature in the lyrics and vocals where he often talks about drugs and depression, so a dark fairy tale theme seemed to link the two. The font has been written in white so they contast to the dark background making it easier to read and grabs the attention of potential buyers. The writing of the Words MGMT and weekend wars are written much larger than the copywrite information due to the fact that the vast majority of the viewers would be more interested in the band and album title than the copywrite information. The photograph was edited heavily on photoshop to add more lights in the sky, increase the contrast and decrease the brightness level to achieve the fairy tale feel. The photograph itself was taken in a forest where the final scene of my music video should be set if our plans do not change.
